The University of Scouting offers something for every adult volunteer no matter what your experience level may be anyone that has an interest in learning more in-depth information about BSA programs through interactive, hands-on, and exciting courses.

  • New to Scouting? We have all the basic training programs! Get trained, take a few classes, and meet people from all around the council! You are not alone in Scouting.
  • The Cub Scouting program provides a wide variety of courses from basic training to pack administration to planning for an outdoor program. You can even earn a Whittlin' Chip.
  • The Boy Scouting and Varsity programs provide exciting variety of troop, team, patrol and outdoor courses from basic training to Dutch oven cooking to creating a great campfire program. We even have a class on Geocaching!
  • Venturers have classes on wilderness first aid, cooking, high adventure, and basic training (of course). Learn both new and old techniques to communicate in the out-of-doors!
  • The Running Start Program for the youth has everything from den chief training to creative cooking to a session on how to run an effective meeting! Of course there are always the classes on fun gadgets to make, new games for meetings, and topics to help you on the way to Eagle or Ranger.
  • The College of Commissioner Science is once again being taught for all the commissioners and those who want to know more about the role of Commissioners in Scouting.
  • And last, but not least, come visit the EXPO. Expect to discover new adventures, places to go, and things to do!
