Scout Leaders
Get Trained!
Fast Start It is our goal in the Puget Sound District to have every adult volunteer trained in their role in Scouting. Please select the course or courses for your position that best fits into your schedule. There is also an option to bring the training to you. If the adults in your Pack, Troop, Team, Crew, Ship or Post want to have a training session in your community—either at someone’s home or at the Unit's meeting location—then please let us know at pugetsound@mtbakerbsa.org. Is taking a few hours of one day or even smaller amounts of time over two or three days worth the effort? YES! Ask the Scouts in your Unit this Fall when they are receiving the well-rounded program that Scouting has to offer. We are here to support you, the other leaders in your Unit and the parents of the Scouts in your Unit. Please use this registration form to enroll in the courses. Please duplicate as you need to. You can also register by emailing your name, address, telephone number, Unit (Pack, Troop, Team, Crew, Post and number), your position in the Unit, the course, date and location to pugetsound@mtbakerbsa.org. This is training for Boy Scouts, Varsity Scouts, Venturing Scouts, Sea Scouts, and Exploring Scouts who want to be Den Chiefs in a Cub Scout Pack Den. A Den Chief fulfills a Troop Leadership role and is a vital link between Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. Cub Scouts that have a Den Chief in their Den will most likely join Boy Scouts and most likely with the Troop that the Den Chief is from. The Den Chief helps the Den Leader with the Den program.

This is training for ALL adult leaders and parents. This is required for all leaders that work directly with youth. This is also available on line.
