Title: Powder Horn 2008
District: Council Wide
Date(s): May 30 - June 1; June 6-8, 2008
Location: Camp Black Mountain
Cost: $250
Information: Powder Horn is the premier high adventure resource
management course. It is going to be held in two fun filled
weekends.
This is the perfect opportunity to learn how to safely and
effectively put on a high adventure program within your unit.
It is designed around the Venturing Ranger Award, but people
from all types of units will gain helpful experience and knowledge
to provide a better program for their youth. You learn by getting
resources but also by trying various activities to get rid of
any inhibitions you might have.
If your Venturers or Boy Scouts have ever wanted to go snowmobiling,
pistol shooting, rock climbing, mountaineering, do a conservation
project, go kayaking, go scuba diving… the list goes on, anyway,
if they have ever wanted to do any of that stuff, come to Powder
Horn to find out who you can talk to about getting a safe and
cost effective program put together.
