Why we request that adults get
trained
Most adults look forward to training the same as boys look forward to
a meeting full of announcements. The boys want fun, excitement, and
action. So do most adults... The key points to remember are summarized
in the BSA mission and vision statements.
Mission Statement
The mission of
the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and
moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of
the Scout Oath and Law.
Vision Statement
The Boy Scouts
of America will prepare every eligible youth in America to become a
responsible, participating citizen and leader who is guided by the Scout
Oath and Law.

Our Goal
Each of you will have a part in providing the youth in your care
with:
A Safe Program
We will provide with an understanding of how to work with youth
while keeping everyone safe physically, mentally, and emotionally.
An Effective Program
We will show you how to fulfill the mission and vision statements in
an age appropriate manner. An Efficient Program
BSA had had nearly a century of experience in providing a program
that has been proven to succeed. Use the methods exactly as
given or put your own spin on them. (BSA is always open to
improvements and suggestions.)
