Every summer at Fire Mountain we regularly host provisional campers – Scouts who couldn’t attend camp with their home troop, or are looking for an additional week of fun at camp.
This summer, we’re knocking the provisional Scout experience up a notch with 3 great program opportunities.
Order of the Arrow Base Camp
July 5-11, 2020; Week 1 of Scouts BSA Summer Camp
Any Arrowman is welcome and invited to attend this special week.
As an honored camping society, the home of any Order of the Arrow lodge is at their summer camp. Participants will send half their week fulfilling the mission of the Order of the Arrow by providing service to the camp and the Scouts attending, and the other half as a regular camper: earning merit badges, riding the zip line, and having the experience of a lifetime.
Expect special activities focused on Order of the Arrow traditions, ceremonies, and fellowship.
July 26-August 1, 2020; Week 4 of Scouts BSA Summer Camp
Any registered member of Scouts BSA, Venturing, or Sea Scout is welcome to sign up to join the Fire Mountain Rover Troop.
A Rover is a Scout looking for new friends, fun, and advancement at summer camp – but who cannot attend with their regular troop, or wants to come to camp for a second week.
Our Rover Troop will be led by experienced summer camp Scoutmasters who will support every Scout’s participation in the full suite of programs at summer camp.
Trail to Eagle
August 2-8, 2020; Week 5 of Scouts BSA Resident Camp
Any registered member of Scouts BSA, Venturing, or Sea Scouting who has achieved at least the rank of First Class AND is at least 13-years old is invited to attend this exciting new program.
We often hear from troops that their older Scouts are looking for something special when they choose what summer camp to attend. Look no further!
As part of our Trail to Eagle program, Scouts will have the opportunity to:
- Work on a wide selection of Eagle-Required Merit Badges – almost all of them!
- Attend special workshops designed to prepare them for the Life to Eagle transition, designing their Eagle Scout Service Project, planning their Court of Honor, and more!
- Learn from Eagle Scouts, experienced Merit Badge Counselors, and enthusiastic mentors as they prepare to climb their own Trail to Eagle.
Our Eagle Scout Troops will be led by experienced summer camp Scoutmasters who will support every Scout’s participation and success in the Trail to Eagle program at summer camp.
