Live Events

The principal “stage” for the Virtual Campsite will be on the Campsite’s Facebook Page. Not all live events though will be hosted there. Be sure to check the Event Page to the right to find out WHERE the event will be hosted. Many events such as Merit Badge classes will use more interactive services such as Zoom while Council trainings and webinars will most likely use Join.Me. When possible Live Events will be posted below.

June First Friday - Cooking - 6/5/20

June’s theme is Cooking Together! We invite you to join us for the opening ceremony at 6:00 and then share your photos and videos with us throughout the evening practicing your camp cooking skills!

North Cascades Digital Pinewood Derby - 5/9/20

COVID-19 hit just as many of North Cascades Cub Packs where about to hold their Pinewood Derby events, cars were ready to go but no Derby to race. Enter the Digital Pinewood Derby. Limiting social interaction to just a few working to make it safe for our Scouting families the District was proud to host this event for the 41 scouts who’s cars we raced.

Cars are referred to by number, if you want to know who’s car belongs to whom, check out the Roster. Enjoy the race!

St. George Event - 5/2/20

Did you know that Saint George is the patron saint of Scouting? Also did you know that around the world on Saint Georges Day Scouts reaffirm themselves to their own promise of chivalry… the Scout Promise!

Virtual CamporALL Scouts Own - 5/2/20

A Scout is Reverent and does their Duty to God.

A big thank you to Troop 18 and the Jackson family for providing us with our Saturday morning Scout’s Own service.

If you don’t know what a Scout’s Own is, it is meant to help Scouts focus on their spiritual journey by reflecting on the words from the “scout’s own faith perspective”.

Virtual CamporALL Digital Campfire - 5/1/20

Kicking off a weekend of fun and Scouting the Mount Baker Council hosted its first Digital Campfire! The campfire was only the bringing for a weekend of camping out that rolled into the the National Boy Scouts of America Camp-In Event.

Scouts from across the Council submitted skits and songs that were merged together with video clips from around the world of Scouting.

Kandersteg International Scout Centre Campfire - 4/4/20

As a part of the World Scouting Movement’s Special Edition of the Jamboree on the Internet event organized in the face of millions of Scouts around he world being kept home due to the COVID-19 crisis the “Pinkies” (staff at the Kandersteg International Scout Centre) hosted a Campfire program.

They experienced some technical issues early on (much of which was edited out of this video) but handled with the grace of many veteran Camp Staffs.

Utilizing Tools to Keep Scouting for Cub Scouts

The Council’s Scouting From Home Committee in response to the COVID-19 crisis hosted a webinar for Cub Scout leaders on ways to use technology to continue to hold meetings.
