Can Youth Attend University of Scouting?

Yes!  University of Scouting offers Den Chief training.  Please speak to your Scoutmaster before you register for Den Chief training.

Youth 12 years of age and older can also attend any of our College of Outdoor Adventure courses.  Look for courses with the code beginning COA.  Youth may also take the Helping Units Communicate Using Social Media course.

An adult must accompany youth to the event.  No Drop Offs.

The cost for youth to attend University of Scouting is $20.00 and includes lunch.  A signed permission slip must be presented to the registration desk upon check-in.

Child Care

Child Care is available for all potty-trained children.  The cost is $10.00 per child and they must be registered through the registration system prior to the event.  All children must be picked up from Child Care no later than 4:30pm.

Course Changes

You can update and change your courses by logging into the University of Scouting registration system.  Courses are subject to participant limits.  Once you remove yourself from a course your space in that course will be removed and, if a waitlist has started, will be given to the next participant.

Refund Policy 

Refunds are available for personal emergencies and are subject to a $5.00 processing fee.  All cancellations must be completed by October 20, 2017.  Cancellations can be completed by logging into the University of Scouting Registration system.
