Fire Mountain Scout Camp (FMSC) is located just outside of Mount Vernon, WA in the shadow of Cultus Mountain, a foothill to the North Cascades. With our own Lake Challenge at its heart, Fire Mountain is a green forest of Cedar trees and grassy fields. For 50 years Fire Mountain has been the home of Scouting’s outdoor program in the Mount Baker Council. We invite YOU to make Fire Mountain your Scouting home as well!
For 50 years the Fire Mountain Camp Staff have worked hard to provide life changing program to every scout that has entered our gates. We challenge you to join us in building the adventure!

NYLT is an exciting, action packed program designed to provide youth members of the Boy Scouts of America with leadership skills and experience they can use in their home Troops and Venturing Crews. The leadership skills taught can be used in any other situation demanding leadership of “self” and “others.” This process begins with a “vision” of what success will look like in the future.
Wood Badge is for all adults in Scouting: anyone age 18 or older, male or female, involved with Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA, Venturing, Sea Scouts, Exploring, district, or council. The only requirements for attending Wood Badge are: that you be registered in the Boy Scouts of America, and that you have taken the basic training for your position, most of which can be taken online through my.Scouting.
