Summer Camp 2022

2022 is an exciting time not only for Fire Mountain but Scouting in general. After almost two years of COVID restrictions effecting our programs and operations Fire Mountain will be returning to more of a traditional (pre-COVID) program model. We will remain vigilant to protect all our campers and staff this summer with a COVID mitigation plan but just as much of society has “opened” so too will we work to offer the very best Scouting program for every scout who enters our gates.

Below are our two main camp preparation documents with the Leaders Guide being full of much of the “admin” content on why to come to Fire Mountain, how to register and pay for coming to camp. The program guide give a look into what a week at camp will look like and the kind of programs scouts and leaders can look forward to seeing when coming to camp in 2022, including a draft weekly schedule.

2022 Program Kick-off Webinar

On May 4th, 2022 our Camp Director, Sven Gilkey and Program Director, JoLynn Garrett conducted the “Program Kick-off” walking through the 2022 Program Guide and answering questions about the upcoming camp schedule and more. Check out the recording of this meeting for reference.

Pre-Camp Leader Meetings

As we get closer to camp in an effort to keep you informed with all the latest and greatest we will be hosting two “Pre-Camp” leaders meetings. We ask that units attending camp send a rep to one of these meetings. While it’s not required feel free to attend both of these Zoom webinars!

Safe, Quality Program at Fire Mountain

Every year Fire Mountain Scout Camp completes the Boy Scouts of America National Camp Accreditation. This means that the camp property and staff have completed hundreds of requirements related to every aspect of the Fire Mountain experience to make sure it is safe, fun, and in line with the best traditions and standards of the BSA.
