Fire Mountain Scout Camp (FMSC) is located just outside of Mount Vernon, WA in the shadow of Cultus Mountain, a foothill to the North Cascades. With our own Lake Challenge at its heart, Fire Mountain is a green forest of Cedar trees and grassy fields. For 50 years Fire Mountain has been the home of Scouting’s outdoor program in the Mount Baker Council. We invite YOU to make Fire Mountain your Scouting home as well!

The Fire Mountain Night Hike is an overnight adventure to grow leadership and teamwork within each patrol. Units are invited to arrive between 10am and 3pm on Saturday to set up their campsites (no program or meals are provided during this time) and get settled. At dinner, each patrol will be briefed on the rules and structure of the event before setting off on the Night Hike. The Night Hike is a timed event where each patrol is challenged to complete as many stations as possible in the allotted time. The stations will be set up throughout camp and will challenge each patrol with a variety of team building exercises and adventures. Patrols will learn new skills, practice what they already know, and have a great time!
At Fire Mountain we don’t look for any kind of egg… and for that matter it’s not even Easter Weekend, but who needs an excuse to come to come camp and hunt for chocolate?
Mothers Day weekend means something different to every family. For some its Dad giving Mom a day to her self and taking the kids out, for others its Mom looking for a fun day out with the kids. Either way Fire Mountain has you covered with a day adventure having fun with your Cub be it Mom, Dad, Grandparents or family friends bring your Cub to Camp.
This annual event is where Scout BSA Troops from across a District or the entire Council are invited for a weekend of camping and skill based activities.

NYLT is an exciting, action packed program designed to provide youth members of the Boy Scouts of America with leadership skills and experience they can use in their home Troops and Venturing Crews. The leadership skills taught can be used in any other situation demanding leadership of “self” and “others.” This process begins with a “vision” of what success will look like in the future.
Wood Badge is for all adults in Scouting: anyone age 18 or older, male or female, involved with Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA, Venturing, Sea Scouts, Exploring, district, or council. The only requirements for attending Wood Badge are: that you be registered in the Boy Scouts of America, and that you have taken the basic training for your position, most of which can be taken online through my.Scouting.
